On the last day of October in the golden autumn, Discover Germany gathered many German brands to organize a cultural experience tour in Wangjing Street, Chaoyang District, Beijing. Schalke 04 Football Club participated in this event hosted by the German Chamber of Commerce in China (AHK). The event attracted more than 20,000 visitors. Under the atmosphere of experiencing German life and feeling German culture, Schalke invited students from the German Embassy School in Beijing to conduct a unique training class. On the specially built small football field, the club's mascot Owen and the Chinese and German children at the school played football together, which attracted a lot of attention and many football fans participated in it. Mr. Wenwen, the mayor of Chaoyang District, and representatives of the German Embassy attended the event.
Looking back on recent years, Schalke 04 Club has been helping China’s youth academy development for its fifth year. Through the establishment of the Sino-German (Kunshan) Youth Football Training Camp, the Kunshan Sailing Youth Football Development Center, regular Sino-German football exchange activities, and the long-term youth training partnership with China Super League Club China Fortune, Schalke 04 tries to build a long-term Sustainable youth training programs help create the future star of local football.
